Helping Millenium Unlock NetSuite's Full Potential

About the Customer

Millenium is a Canadian manufacturer specializing in intelligent, high-performance roofing systems designed to withstand the harshest climates in North America.

Background

Built on three pillars - safety, durability, and innovation - Millenium serve industrial and commercial roofers with customized, long-lasting solutions. With over 20 years of experience and a fast-growing team, Millenium knew they needed a modern ERP system to scale. But the path to transformation wasn’t straightforward.

From Frustration to Fulfillment: A NetSuite Transformation Story

When Millenium set out to implement NetSuite, they had gone through two failed attempts to go live. Their implementation had become a cautionary tale: a mismatch of process and platform, a lack of alignment, and partners who didn’t understand the complexity of their business.

What Millenium needed wasn’t just another consultant.

They needed a true partner - someone who would take the time to understand their business and help them build a system tailored to their reality. That’s where Sky High ERP came in.

Two Failed Implementations and a Frustrated Team

Before NetSuite, Millenium was using a patchwork of tools to satisfy their ERP requirements.

The result? Manual entries. Reconciliation headaches. A lack of visibility across the business.

They turned to NetSuite to consolidate operations and accounting into one unified platform - but their first two implementation partners failed to deliver.

“The first partner failed to align the system to our business processes”, explained Mikaël Ouimet-Rathé, Director of Finance.

The second consultant was more communicative, but still missed the mark.

Mikaël elaborated “They answered our questions, but the system being built still wasn’t made for the business we had.”

The Turning Point: Finding Sky High ERP

“Sky High was the team that took us to the end game.”

– Mikaël

Millenium came to Sky High with a clearer understanding of what they needed: defined business processes, a flowchart of operations, and a determination to get it right.

Sky High’s first step wasn’t to jump into the build. It was to listen.

They went onsite, reviewed every process, asked the hard questions, and even challenged some of Millenium’s assumptions to ensure that what they were building would actually suit their needs. Most importantly, they spoke their language - both figuratively and literally. French-speaking consultants made communication seamless for the Quebec-based team.

“From the beginning, it was a ‘wow’ factor. Sky High came onsite and challenged us in a good way. It felt like a team effort - not just a vendor/client relationship” explained Gregory Chapelier, Director of IT.

A System That Finally Fits the Business

Millenium’s business is unique; 85% of their work is custom projects that blend manufacturing with distribution. Standard NetSuite modules and configurations didn’t map cleanly onto their needs.

Rather than force a square peg into a round hole, Sky High helped them reimagine how NetSuite could support their project-based operations without relying on the standard modules, which didn’t fit their workflow.

Sky High’s consultants designed a configuration that allowed Millenium to track financial and operational data by project to better align with how their business actually runs.

They included every major process in the scope: CRM, opportunity management, purchasing, production, and order-to-cash - creating a single source of truth across the business.

Onsite Training That Made It Stick

Training and user acceptance testing weren’t afterthoughts. Sky High conducted them onsite with the full team, coaching Millenium through hands-on testing and adoption.

This is central to Sky High ERP’s implementation methodology - the idea that technology should work for us, not the other way around. Ensuring that all employees are competent and confident within the new system is a critical ingredient for long term success.

Mikaël emphasized “The training and testing were crucial. Having Sky High there onsite made a big difference.”

The Results: Simplified Operations and a Platform for Growth

Since going live, Millenium has dramatically reduced manual work and errors:

  • No more duplicate invoicing between systems

  • Invoicing linked directly to shipments, reducing mistakes

  • Sales and coordination fully integrated into NetSuite

  • Better alignment between departments - and a clearer path for production and supply chain to follow

Mikaël spoke to the early impacts of the newly-implemented system: “It’s only been two months, but we already see time savings and fewer errors. There’s still customization ahead, but we’re finally building the right system for our business.”

The Sky High Difference

What made this implementation different?

  • A collaborative, curious approach that questioned assumptions

  • Deep process alignment before configuration

  • Hands-on, on-site support during every critical phase

  • A team that brought technical expertise and strategic thinking

“Sky High explained how everything worked, walked us through best practices, and helped us think long term. We couldn't have done it without them” praised Mikaël.
